Michael A. Elliott, Charles Howard Candler Professor of English, was named Dean of Emory College of Arts and Sciences in May 2017. The recipient of several prestigious research fellowships, he has authored ii books on subjects related to American literary and intellectual history. He too serves on the editorial board of The Norton Anthology of American Literature. He has previously served in the Emory College key administration as senior associate dean for faculty from 2009-2014, as executive associate dean from 2014-2015, and as interim dean of Emory College from 2016-2017. He completed his Ph.D. at Columbia University in 1998.

Joanne Brzinski is the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Instruction in Emory Higher of Arts and Sciences. In this function, she oversees the Office of Undergraduate Didactics and the staff involved in bookish affairs and academic programs supported by Emory Higher.

Dean Brzinski completed her Ph.D. at University of Michigan, focusing on elections and political parties in Europe. She has been at Emory since September 1992, initially as an banana professor in political science and in 1999, became an assistant dean in Emory College. Ronald Fifty. Calabrese (Ron) joined the College administration in 2022 equally Senior Associate Dean for Enquiry, where he coordinates efforts to promote and support inquiry by the faculty in the Arts and Sciences, including the PERS program. He also works with the Office for Undergraduate Education to promote research by Emory College students. He received his Ph.D. in neurobiology from Stanford University in 1975, and subsequently postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley and UC San Diego, and a faculty engagement at Harvard University, he came to the Department of Biological science at Emory in 1986. His inquiry focuses on the motor design formation by the nervous organization and combines electrophysiological and computational approaches.

Deboleena Roy was appointed Senior Associate Dean for Faculty in Fall 2020. She is Professor of Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB) and Women'south, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) at Emory. She previously served as chair of WGSS. She besides serves as Associate Kinesthesia in the Neuroscience Programme, Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Emory.

Roy received her PhD in reproductive neuroendocrinology and molecular biology from the Found of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. She joined Emory in 2009. Her research and educational activity explore interdisciplinary exchanges between the natural sciences and humanities, and she has dedicated her career to creating new conversations betwixt feminism, philosophy of science, reproductive justice, molecular biology, and neuroscience.

Garett Heysel is Associate Dean for the Office of International and Summertime Programs in Emory College of Arts and Sciences. His office is responsible for Emory College study abroad, summertime, and online academic programs.

Prior to joining Emory in September 2020, he was senior associate director of the University Honors and Scholars Center at The Ohio Country University, and so Banana Dean and Manager of Global Education of the College of Arts and Sciences where he was responsible for curriculum in Arts and Humanities and internationalization across the college.

Heysel has taught at Connecticut College, Utah State University, and Lycoming Higher where he was associate professor and chair of modern language studies. Heysel was too dean of the French Language Village at Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota for fourteen summers. His research interests involve the intersections of queer desire and corporeal representation in avant-garde fine art, popular press, pic and literature and he has published in the areas of 19th and 20th-century French literature, culture, and movie.

Kevin Karnes was appointed in Fall 2022 as the Associate Dean for the Arts, a new position in the Higher administration. In this role, Karnes works across the College and the University on a wide range of arts-related initiatives that center the arts in institutional conversations well-nigh research, learning, and civic engagement. He partners with faculty, students, and institutional leaders to build programs in the artistic and performing arts, including teaching and creative partnerships with Atlanta artists and arts organizations.
